Functional and Behavioral Responses of the Natural Enemy Anthocoris nemoralis to Cacopsylla pyri, at Different Temperatures

چکیده
Abstract Anthocoris nemoralis is the dominant predator of pear sucker ( Cacopsylla pyri ) in UK. migrates into orchards spring or introduced as a biocontrol agent, reaching peak population levels July-August, contributing to effective control summer populations. However, due temperature dependent development and metabolism there are concerns that C. populations feeding rates may increase changing climatic conditions. Thus, how A. responds temperature, impacts its ability agent. Functional response assays, monitoring attack rate handling time behavioral using Ethovision tracking software occurred, assess impact on predation. Experiments were conducted at current future July-August mean temperatures, predicted RCP4.5 RCP8.5 (medium high, representative concentration pathway) emissions scenarios, 2018 UK Climate Projections (UKCP18). All treatments demonstrated Type II functional response, with female anthocorids demonstrating shorter times higher than males. Males showed longer prey 18 °C compared 23 more was spent active lower temperatures for both sexes. Females did not show significant differences temperature. Overall consumption also significantly affected by either sex. This study suggests likely remain natural enemies under non-significant consumption.

Anthocoris nemoralis (F.) (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae) is one of the most prominent predators of the pear psylla, Cacopsylla pyricola (Forster) (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) and is considered as a biological control agent against this pest. In order to investigate the effects of plant varieties on predation of C. pyricola by A. nemoralis, the functional response of both the sexes of A. nemoralis to pear ...

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Behavioral Responses to Natural Disasters
Catastrophic events can dramatically alter existing social and economic relationships. The consequences can be long-lasting and give rise to heterogeneity of behavior across populations. We investigate the impact of a large negative shock on altruism, trust and reciprocity in 30 small Honduran communities diversely affected by Hurricane Mitch in 1998. We conduct a survey of communities and beha...
